but what does that even mean?
It all began with a vision
In our vision, the U46 co:nnect becomes a space, that brings people together and supports community. A lively room, that is shaped by sustainability, innovation and intergenerational cohabitation. We strive for the design of an inspirational environment, in which people of diverse background come together, exchange ideas and live and work together. The U46 co:nnect is supposed to become a room, that not only exists today, but carries a long-lasting positive impact for the community and the future generations.
SUSTAINABLE TRANSFORMATION
The project focuses on sustainable building and living. The reuse of building materials and the minimization of resource consumption are the top priorities right from the renovation phase of the building. In concrete terms, this means changing the existing building as little as possible and, if necessary, reintroducing used building materials into the life cycle. Sustainable construction requires knowledge, exchange and partnerships with people and companies who want to shape the world together with sustainability. We want to create a cycle that promotes creative togetherness and has a lasting effect on the atmosphere in the city. The aim is to create an urban, modern character that meets the needs of Saarbrücken.
INSPIRATION
We have developed this concept for the following reason: Many people, no matter whether younger or older, crave new ideas, a relaxed atmosphere and a distinctive social life. The late night and coffee house culture of the main cities are an inspiration for this concept.
